yummm

Had family over for dinner Friday night. Since I am not that keen on slaving over a hot stove these days I made a very simple yet awesome meal. I put 6 small marinating steaks in the slow cooker with a bottle of Memories of Korea PC sauce. I set it to cook on Low for 8 hours. Within a couple of hours the house started to smell soooo good. Once the meat was cooked it was so tender and very tastey.I served it sprinkled with sesame seeds so not only did it taste great but it looked amazig too.  Everyone really enjoyed it -every drop of sauce was consumed and all the meat was devoured! ( I took a page from my SIL's book and made just enough for everyone rather than making extra that would likely go to waste-this worked out really well!)
Along with the Korean beef, I made a pot of The Perfect Rice, stir fried green beans and asparagus. The vegetables came out perfectly. I trimmed and cut the asparagus and green beans  into 1 inch peices, the I steamed them for about 3 minutes, then i mixed soy sauce, hot chili sauce (about 1 tsp), honey and sesame oil together in a small bowl, after draining the vegetables i poured the sauce in and sauted for about 2 minutes. I also sprinkled sesame seeds on the vegies just before serving.
Just more proof that the slow cooker is the best invention ever! I can't believe I lived without one for so long-now i could never go back to not having one!
