Yes this a "dinner" blog but occassionally a great idea comes to me for OTHER meals!!
This morning my 2 year old daughter was not in the mood to eat (unusual) All she wanted was raisons and cereal...so i pretended to eat a piece of toast with peanut butter-because I know if I'm eating it, she will want it.
Then it came to me, make smiling faces on the toast with the raisons. She ate it all up and was excited to make her own smiles on her peanut butter toast. A well balanced, nutritious breaky she was happy to participate in making and eating!
My job is done!

Ha ha. My son hates raisins so that wouldn't work for him. Although chocolate chips would! (not that I would want him having chocolate chips for breakfast) Do your kids like Almond butter or tahini? These are nice alternatives to PB.
My kids LOVE hummos so i guess they would like tahini on its own. I have made chocolate chip pancakes for them on occassion but it turns out to be a real mess (check out the pics on facebook!!)
I tried almond butter once and didn't care for it but i'd be willing to try it again. I do eat almonds almost everyday!
